Pierson named new director of nursing program

August 20, 2018

JACKSONVILLE - Recently, MacMurray College announced Angela Pierson, assistant professor of nursing, as the new director of the nursing program. She assumed her new role on Aug. 15.

Pierson, a 2014 graduate of the MacMurray RN to BSN Program, is excited about her new position at the College. "Having the opportunity to share my experience and have such an impact is an un-measurable joy," Pierson said.

This fall will begin Pierson's fourth year with MacMurray. "I have had the opportunity to see students blossom from timid and unknowing to fully competent and confident Registered Nurses," Pierson said. "At Mac, we develop strong bonds with our students and their success is very much our own as well."

Pierson looks to reinforce the already sturdy foundation and build an even stronger nursing program. "I love the administrative side as much as I do the teaching," Pierson said. "By becoming more involved with all aspects of the program, I look forward to playing a key role in its continued success."
