Students to show artwork

MacMurray College senior art majors Kendra Brown and Jennifer Cox will be showing their artwork at the MacMurray College Student Art Exhibition starting this week.

An opening reception will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 14, at the Applebee Art Gallery on the MacMurray campus. Both will be giving artist talks beginning at 6:15 p.m. The reception is free and open to the public.

Cox, of Gilman, IL, who is double-majoring in art and psychology, will be displaying “Off the Pedestal” (detail, pictured left).

Brown, of Assumption, IL, who is double-majoring in art and in business administration, will be showing four works, including “Family Values” (pictured right).

After the reception, the exhibition may be viewed weekdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the morning of Commencement Day May 7.
