Sophomore named student of the month

December 11, 2013

Emmeritt Adair, a sophomore in criminal justice was named Student of the Month for November at MacMurray College.

 The sophomore criminal justice major plays baseball; is on the Rutledge Hall Council, the residence hall where he lives; and has an internship with the Springfield Police Department. He was nominated by Beth Ham, administrative assistant at the Student Life Office, where he works.

 Adair is always willing to take on extra work for a fellow student when the student needs time off or needs to go home, Ham wrote in the nomination. At the MacMurray Homecoming Parade, helped unasked with the start of the parade and helped get the various high school bands in the right position.

 Adair, originally from Oak Park, IL, is pictured receiving his award from Sarah Ann Judy, coordinator of Residence Life, Student Conduct and Student Organizations.
