Nursing students attend Chicago meeting

September 27, 2013

Nine senior nursing students attended the American Psychiatric Nurses Association Illinois Chapter conference Saturday, Sept. 21, in Chicago. Dr. Georgine Berent, who teaches MacMurray’s Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing course, coordinated the trip.  Students earned seven continuing education credit hours and heard about the latest research, including the newly published fifth edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.

During a break at the conference, the MacMurray students visited the Swell Museum at the Feinberg Pavilion in Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
