Choir to showcase tour

February 14, 2013

JACKSONVILLE, IL – The MacMurray College Choir will preview its upcoming spring tour with a concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22 at the Annie Merner Chapel on campus.

The choir will perform an eclectic selection of songs, from Brahms and Purcell to Springsteen and Bon Jovi. Among the highlights will be an encore rendition of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” (pictured – please credit: Tiffany Warmowski ’98/Warmowski Photo).

The performance is a warm-up for the choir’s annual spring tour, which this year will travel to venues throughout Illinois and will culminate in an alumni gathering in St. Louis.

The performance is free and open to the public, but donations will be accepted for the choir fund. Annie Merner Chapel is at the northeast corner of College Avenue and Clay Street on the MacMurray College campus.
