Student show to open at Applebee Gallery

MacMurray art student Chelsea Verticchio, of Jacksonville, will hold her senior thesis show this month, with an opening reception 6-8 p.m., Thursday, April 18 at the Applebee Gallery on the MacMurray College campus. Her artist talk will be at 6:15 p.m.

 In addition to Verticchio’s work, including "Worlds Away, pictured, a number of MacMurray students will also exhibit pieces from this year. The event is free and open to the public.

 The show, which can be viewed 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, continues until May 4. The gallery is in the Springer/Putnam Center, on the southeast corner of State and Clay streets on campus.
