Student named February student of the month

March 27, 2013

Caty Anderson of Chapin, IL, was named MacMurray student leader of the month for February. To be named a student leader, scholars must show academic excellence and involvement around campus.

A senior at MacMurray, Anderson holds officer positions in various campus boards and activities: secretary for MacMurray Student Association (MSA), president of the cheer and dance squad and vice president of BACCHUS.

“Caty is a good worker,” said Mike McKay, security guard at MacMurray College, who nominated Anderson for the honor. “She has a good attitude. She’s polite, a team player, smart, has a good heart and caring. She has a bright future ahead of her.”

A 2009 graduate of Triopia High School in Concord, IL, Anderson is daughter of  Anita Glydewell, of Arenzville, IL, and Tom Anderson of Arenzville, IL. She is pictured with Dean of Student Affairs Martin Sabolo.
