MacMurray College aids Oklahoma relief efforts

May 23, 2013

MacMurray College collected items to send to relief efforts helping the victims of last week’s devastating tornado that tore through Moore, OK.

With students gone for summer break, Career Services Coordinator Cori Wagner spearheaded a drive among the College’s faculty and staff to gather goods and clothing. “Some of us have friends and family in Oklahoma, so this disaster hit home for us,” Wagner said. With only 24 hours’ notice, the staff and faculty at MacMurray College gathered diapers, clothes, food, toiletries and monetary donations for those affected by the tornado.

Supplies were collected on May 23, and will be sent to Oklahoma on Friday, May 24.
