MacMurray College sport management students gained valuable career advice on Wednesday, Nov. 30, during a roundtable discussion with local professionals.

Each participant was given questions in regards to their career and had the opportunity to deliver advice to students. Throughout the discussion, topics ranged from how to best prepare for an interview to advice on how to stand out to potential employers.

The panel included MacMurray alumnae Katie Carls, director of campus events at Illinois College; alumnus Chris Flaggs, teachers' retirement system of the State of Illinois; Jim Kent, director of community relations for the Springfield Sliders; Rachel Rohn, owner of Fitness World; and Ed Schumer, chief executive officer of the Midwest Professional Basketball Association.
