Highlanders fall to Carroll University in 13th inning

HOW IT HAPPENED
Highlanders got on the board in the second inning as Drake Hardin doubled to bring home Alec Quandt. Carroll answered in the third with a one run score and the game was tied. Bottom of the third, the Highlanders scored two more runs to take a 3-1 lead. Carroll came back in the top of the fifth as Brady Durni hit a home run. With a tie score of 4-4 entering extra innings Carroll took a lead in the top 11th earning two runs. Pressure was on the Highlanders and they pulled through tying up the game as Tyler Watson doubled bringing in two runners. Carroll secured a 7-6 win in the 13th as Hunter Frey singled to bring home Zach Meyer.
FOR THE HIGHLANDERS
Drew Johnson and Collin Antoine both went 3-for-6, Johnson with a home run, and one RBI.
FOR THE FOES
Bardy Durni went 2-for-7 with one run and two RBI’s. Frey was 2-for-6 with two RBI’s, and Michael Jerik went 2-for-4 with three runs and one RBI.
