Highlanders take the series over Greenville

Both teams remained scoreless in the first nine innings of game one. Top of the 10th Mike Hardin homered for the Panthers, and Greenville put a lead on the bored. Dathan Berning hit a double and scored as Nate Miller hit a single. Highlanders unable to answer in the extra inning and Greenville took the first game winning 2-0.

Scoreless again until the fourth inning of game two, Greenville got in the game first as Shane Olmsted singled to bring home Miller. Olmsted reached second base on a passed ball and came home when Hardin doubled, bringing the score to 2-0. Highlanders answered with one run in the bottom of the fourth as Luttrell singled to bring home Drake Hardin. Greenville was scoreless top of the fifth and the Highlanders would make a comeback. Hardin singled for MacMurray with the bases loaded, bringing Brendan Pesko home. Tyler Deaton up and reaches first on a fielder’s choice. He brings home Drew Johnson and the Highlanders take a 3-2 lead. Greenville is scoreless for the rest of the game and the Highlanders take the win, winning the three-game series 2-1.




 Drake Hardin and Cortez Luttrell both went 2-for-3 in the second game. Hardin earned a run and had an RBI. Luttrell also had an RBI in game two.



Nate Miller went 2-for-5 in the first game with one RBI.

Mike Hardin went 2-for-4 in the first game with one RBI and scored one run. In game two, Hardin went 1-for-3 with one RBI.
