HOW IT HAPPENED
Both schools had a tough time today as the wind played a big factor in the game. This ultimately saw the Highlanders come away with a 15-11 victory over the Aurora University Spartans. The Spartans looked to put the game away early as they had a commanding 7-0 lead just three innings in. In the bottom of the fourth however, the bats came alive for MacMurray. The Highlanders scored in every inning from the fourth inning and on, and by time the sixth was over, they had established a 10-9 lead. A lead in which they would not give up. MacMurray picked up some insurance runs in their last two at-bats to secure a victory, taking the weekend series from Aurora, 2-1.
