Highlanders drop to Spalding in SLIAC tournament

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Highlanders fell behind early in the first as Domonique Ellis opened up for the Golden Eagles with three. Spalding went on a seven point run, and the Highlanders would not be able to overcome the deficit in the first half. Spalding would take the halftime lead with 30-26. The Highlanders got caught in foul trouble early in the second and James Turner was good for two free throws. MacMurray unable to answer, and Ellis would get the ball for another three. The Highlanders would not be able to climb back on top, and Spalding took the win 74-60.
 

FOR THE HIGHLANDERS 

Deavis Johnson led with 13 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 assists.

Brent Long added 12 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 assist.

Kollin Keltner followed adding 11 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists.

 

FOR THE FOES

Rylan Rowe led for the Golden Eagles with 19 points and 4 rebounds.  

Turner added 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists.

Ellis followed with 11 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists.
