Highlanders soar over Gorlocks

HOW IT HAPPENED

Bill Wall Gym lit with excitement as Deavis Johnson started the game off with a dunk for the Highlanders. The battle was on as Webster’s Adam Etter shot for three, and the Gorlocks took a lead. The Highlanders would pull back at the end of the half and take a halftime lead of 37-32. Coming back from halftime with momentum, the Highlanders were unstoppable. MacMurray went on a 13 point streak as Kollin Keltner remained consistent behind the arc. The Gorlocks were unable to overcome this deficit resulting in a 91-73 win for the Highlanders.  
 

FOR THE HIGHLANDERS 

Brent Long led for the Highlanders with 24 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists.

Johnson captured a double-double with 23 points and 17 rebounds.

Kollin Keltner added 14 points, 3 rebounds, and 6 assists.

 

FOR THE FOES

Hunter Ward led for the Gorlocks with 18 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists.

C.J. Moore followed with 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 asssits.

Xavier Dortch added 12 points and 1 assist.  

 

Next action for the Highlanders comes Saturday, Feb. 13 as they take on SLIAC opponent, Spalding University in Bill Wall Gym.
