HOW IT HAPPENED

Mike Cameron put the Highlanders on the board with seconds into the game as he shot for three. Eureka answered with a jump shot and took off on a six point roll and the game was on. The Red Devils stayed at a steady pace as Shea Feehan stayed consistent in the paint, and kept a four point lead over the Highlanders. At the half Eureka led 43-39. Deavis Johnson put the Highlanders back on track as he opened up the second half with a three pointer. Kollin Keltner took off on a fast break for a layup and the Highlanders were back on top. Both teams remained neck and neck until the remaining eight minutes of the game. MacMurray set up several three point plays to secure a 105-100 victory. The Highlanders shot 17-for-31 behind the arc compared to Eureka’s 7-for-27. Keltner added six three pointers and rallied up a total of 23 points for the Highlanders.
 

FOR THE HIGHLANDERS 

Keltner led with 23 points, 2 assists, and 2 rebounds.

Brent Long captured another double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds.

Mike Cameron also added 16 points and grabbed 6 rebounds.  

 

FOR THE FOES

Shea Feehan led for the Red Devils with 34 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 assists.

Sam Feehan followed with 28 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists.

Tommy Goulding contributed 11 points and 3 rebounds for the Red Devils.

 

Next action for the Highlanders comes Saturday, Feb. 6 as they travel to take on conference opponent, Greenville.
