Highlanders drop to Eureka Red Devils

RECORDS: MacMurray College 2-18, 2-10 SLIAC Eureka College 9-11, 8-5 SLIAC 

HOW IT HAPPENED

Caught into turnover trouble early in the first half, the Highlanders struggled to stay on track with the Red Devils. Eureka took the first half with a 41-18 lead. Jamie Hopper started the second half off for MacMurray shooting a jumper early in the third. Liz Kruemmelbein followed behind her adding another jump shot and MacMurray was on a roll. Eureka answered as Emily Camden shot a three. Camden led her team at the arc shooting 4-for-11. MacMurray remained unable to recover and Eureka took the win 87-55.

 

FOR THE HIGHLANDERS 

Brianna Markusic led the Highlanders with 18 points 5 rebounds and 1 assist.

Melinda Wilson, Jamie Hopper, and Andie Marvel each added 7 points.  

FOR THE FOES

Michaela Balducci led with 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 steals.

Emily Camden added 16 points for the Red Devils with 6 rebounds and 1 assist

 

 

Next action for the Highlanders comes Saturday, Feb. 6 as they travel to take on conference opponent, Greenville College.
