HOW IT HAPPENED

The Blue jays opened up the game as Carter Wands made a layup on a fast break. The Highlanders quickly answered with two jumpers to pull ahead. Westminster would fight to take a short lead of 17-16, but it would not last for long. The Highlanders out shot Westminster in the first half going 17-for-28 at 60.7% while the Blue Jays fell short only making 40%. Resulting in a 49-32 Highlander lead. The Blue Jays improved in the second half with a 54.8% shooting percentage, but it was no match for the Highlanders. MacMurray remained on top in the second half and would go on to win the game 87-79.


 

FOR THE HIGHLANDERS 

Brent Long led the team with 22 points and 5 rebounds.

Kollin Keltner added 13 points, 4 assists, and 2 rebounds

Johnson had another double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.


 

 FOR THE FOES

Tanner Gentges led his team with 23 points, 5 assists, and 2 rebounds.

Nick Carlos followed with 18 points and 2 rebounds.

Romo Tabb contributed 16 points and 8 rebounds.  

 

Next action for the Highlanders comes Wednesday, Jan. 20 when they take on Fontbonne University in Bill Wall Gymnasium.
