Philosophy of the Value of NCAA Division III Athletics

The values and discipline attained through participation in NCAA Division III intercollegiate athletics positively enhances each individual student-athletes' total educational experience. Our students compete in their respective sports, succeed in the classroom and contribute to the community as role models and future leaders.

Being a part of a team provides student-athletes (and coaches/support staff) with a myriad of experiences and life-lessons they retain long after their participation and graduation.

The values of sportsmanship, respect, accountability and citizenship will be reinforced by our entire athletic department staff and modeled by our teams. We will seek out opportunities to positively impact our campus and extend that reach to our local community and within our athletic conference.

The ultimate goal of our intercollegiate athletic department is to transform the lives of our student-athletes and prepare them for future success in their post-collegiate years. In striving for this goal, we also interweave the College's educational and institutional mission.
