SLIAC Announces 2014 Basketball All-Conference Teams

The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) announced their 2014 basketball All-Conference teams and award winners during the SLIAC basketball tournament semi-finals at Spalding University in Louisville, KY. 

Senior forward Brady Slagle, of Winchester, IL, took top honors for men’s basketball, earning the SLIAC Player of the Year title and a spot on the All-Conference First Team.  Slagle is an accounting major at MacMurray and the son of Brad and Angie Slagle of Winchester. 

Senior Guard Spencer Pratt earned SLIAC All-Conference Second-Team honors for the Highlanders.  Pratt is a sport management major from Armington, IL.  He is the son of Judy Pratt of Armington and the late Joe Pratt.    

Making the SLIAC All-Sportsmanship team for the Highlanders was senior center Cole Busch.  Busch is an accounting major from Divernon, IL  He is the son of Kim Stade and Gary Busch of Divernon, IL. 

For the Highlander women’s team, freshman KayDee Carmody, of Murrayville, IL, was selected to the SLIAC All-Sportsmanship team.  Carmody is an undecided major and is the daughter of Robert and Sheryl Carmody of Murrayville, IL.
