The MacMurray College men's basketball team had their season end Thursday night in a 79-65 loss to Webster University in the SLIAC Tournament semi-finals. Coach Todd Creal's club rallied twice from double-digit deficits but faded in the final minutes against the Gorloks.
Brady Slagle closed out his stellar career by leading the Highlanders with nineteen points and nine rebounds. After the game, Slagle was honored as the SLIAC Player of the Year.
Spencer Pratt added fourteen points and was announced as a Second Team All-Conference selection after the contest.
Dylan Guthrie was the only other Highlander in double figures with eleven points.
Hunter Ward and Kevin Miller paced the Gorloks with 22 and 21 points, respectively.
Webster University (19-7, 15-3 SLIAC) advances to Saturday's championship game; while the Highlanders end the season with a 19-7 overall record and a 15-3 league record.
