The MacMurray College men's basketball team opened up SLIAC conference play Tuesday night with a solid 78-59 win at Eureka College. Coach Todd Creal's club shot 54% from the field and outscored Eureka 39-21 in the second half to pull away from the host Red Devils.
Senior guard Spencer Pratt connected on four of six three-point field goal attempts and scored a game-high twenty points in the win. Brady Slagle had a double-double with thirteen points and ten rebounds. Clayton Whitlock had ten points and eight rebounds; and Dylan Burton was also in double figures with eleven points.
Seth Wickert paced the Red Devils with thirteen points, eight rebounds and a game-high five steals.
The Highlanders, who have now won three straight games, improve to 4-1 overall and 1-0 in SLIAC play; while Eureka falls to 0-6 overall and 0-1 in conference play.
Next up for MacMurray College is a SLIAC game this Saturday (3PM tip) at Principia College.
