MacMurray College Athletics



May 31 - June 2, 2016

MacMurray softball is hosting a summer camp for ages 9-18 (Grades 3-12) May 31 - June 2. Players will be split into two sessions; ages 9-13 will attend session A and ages 14-18 will attend session B. Price for the camp is $60 and includes a camp t-shirt.

During the 3-day camp, players will practice their defensive and offensive skills and pitching and catching skills, and players will learn the value of working hard and practicing every day. Instruction will come from current MacMurray softball coaches and players.

If you want to attend this camp, please fill out the waiver and registration form (PDF) and send it to the softball office. This is a great opportunity to work with collegiate level players and coaches and hone your softball skills. Make sure to fill out the forms completely and send it in by May 20th to ensure a spot in the camp. We look forward to working with you and are excited to see you at camp!


June 7 - 9, 2016

The MacMurray College Highlander Volleyball Program will be conducting a Youth Volleyball Camp June 7th, 8th, and 9th from 5 - 8 p.m. It will take place in the Bill Wall Gymnasium inside the Education Complex on the campus of MacMurray College. The camp is open to students in grades 5th through 8th. The cost is $60 per student and includes a sports bag.

Instruction will be focused on the basic fundamentals of volleyball including passing, setting, serving, and hitting and will include instruction from current MacMurray coaches and players.

Girls Basketball

June 21 - 23, 2016

The 4th annual MacMurray College Girls Basketball Camp is open to young ladies who will begin grades 3-8 in the fall of 2016. On June 23rd at 5 p.m., we will host a banquet for the families of the campers which will feature a dinner and the opportunity to hear from current players, coaches, and guest speaker Katie Carls. The camp will include:

The camp will be directed by women's basketball head coach Derek James. Coach James will enter into his 4th season as the head coach at MacMurray. Coach James is also a summer AAU basketball trainer and coach. He currently works with players out of the Predators AAU organization and coaches the 17U team.

Women's Basketball Elite Camp

June 26, 2016

The MacMurray College Women's Basketball Elite Camp will take place on Sunday, June 26th at Bill Wall Gymnasium on the campus of MacMurray College. This camp will feature instruction on ball handling, defensive movements and footwork, shooting, passing, rebounding and fundamental skills for both offense and defense, and competitive play. This camp will offer instruction from current head women's basketball coach Derek James, associate head coach Steve Marvel, and current MacMurray College women's basketball players.

Campers will be provided a t-shirt, drill packet, coaching evaluations, and information on key areas of recruiting.

The camp is open to high school players between 9th and 12th grades. This camp is set up to help develop players and give them opportunities to improve and play at the next level.

Youth Basketball Academy

July 18 - 20, 2016

This 3 day camp is open to all boys entering grades 1 through 8. Campers will work with the MacMurray College Men's Basketball coaches and players and learn different skills such as shooting, ball handling, footwork, fundamental defense, fundamental offense, and much more at the MacMurray College Wall Gymnasium.

MacMurray College Head Coach Todd Creal brings more than 18 years of basketball camp experience working camps all over the state of Illinois. The academy will stress fundamentals of basketball and teach drills and habits that will help young players be better players and learn to love the game. The academy will also include individual attention from the Highlander coaching staff and current Highlander players.

Your son will enjoy learning the fundamentals in a fun and entertaining environment from local area players who grew up going to camps like this one. There will be camp awards for best free throw shooter, Hot Shot winner, and Beat the Buzzer winner in each age division.
