The Alumni Association is governed by an Alumni Board of 26 members. Six members (three men and three women) are appointed annually to four-year terms. Its mission is to promote the general ideas of the College: to preserve her proud traditions; to aid with financial and admissions support; to serve the interests of her alumni through reunions, homecomings, promotions, social gatherings and other special events; to offer assistance with general campus life and community relations; and to recognize distinguished graduates.

Mission

The Alumni Association of MacMurray College shall endeavor to establish and cultivate meaningful lifelong bonds between our alma mater and her alumni, in accordance with the goals and ideals of the College.

News of class activities, athletics and academics, features about college life, special announcements and individual items of interest are printed in the alumni publication, MacNews, and the monthly e-newsletter, @Mac.

Alumni Awards

The MacMurray College Alumni Association presents various awards during the 1846 Donor and Alumni Recognition Dinner that is held on Friday evening of Homecoming. The awards may include the Distinguished Alumni Award, the Distinguished Career Award, the Community Service Award, and/or the Young Alumni Award. The Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony is usually held on a Saturday evening in late January or early February.

The Alumni Board encourages you to participate in this special activity by nominating individuals you feel deserve to be recognized. There are no limitations on the number of nominations that can be submitted by an individual and nominations are accepted year-round.

You can make a nomination by contacting the Office of Alumni Relations or by submitting our online nomination form.
