MacMurray College offers rich and diverse opportunities for spiritual growth and religious expression for all students. The Office of Religious Life links students to more than a dozen local churches. Many are within walking distance, others will provide transportation and some have even been known to provide our students with a home-cooked meal. Further afield, Congregation Temple Israel of Springfield welcomes Jewish students to its High Holiday services, and the Islamic Society of Greater Springfield provides year round activities and religious services for Muslim students.

On campus, a variety of programs are sponsored through student organizations, convocations or co-curricular programming. Continuing a long tradition, the annual Lessons & Carols event is held in Annie Merner Chapel in December and is open to the public. Several vibrant student-led groups and athletic teams are active on campus in outreach to schools and nursing homes, community service and mission.

Mission Statement
The campus ministry mission of the College is to be an institution that promotes a living-learning environment by implementing best practices for establishing a college climate that fosters spiritual exploration through both curricular and co-curricular programs.

The goals for campus ministry are to create campus activities that allow students to grow in their faith and serve the community, create a space(s) in which students can interact and share their experiences, provide opportunities for students to develop a basic understanding of their faith and other faiths, and build an environment that encourages inter-faith dialogue, respect for diversity and personal spiritual exploration.
