Mission, Vision, & Values

MacMurray College, founded in 1846, has a noble and rich history. We are committed to Transforming Lives, as we Cherish Tradition, Embrace Innovation, and Nurture Community. Our Mission Statement below focuses on what we seek to achieve in the education and life success of our students. Our Vision Statement describes the College's intended position for the next decade, and our Core Values shape our actions and provide us with heuristics for important decision-making.

Mission Statement

The mission of MacMurray College is to transform the lives of our students by providing an exceptional, liberal arts general education and courses of study that prepare graduates for professional careers, further education, and other challenges facing the human community in the 21st century.

Vision Statement

MacMurray College will be a regionally prominent institution of higher education with particular distinction in the preparation of professional leaders.

Core Values Statement

Our core values — Knowledge, Faith, and Service — are foundational to our mission and define, inform, and guide the philosophy and practice of the College.
