The inaugeral men's basketball alumni game was a great success as 17 former MacMurray Highlanders returned to Bob Gay Court in Bill Wall Gymnasium on Saturday January 26, 2008. A good time was had by all as old friendships were renewed back on campus. The current Highlander basketball team introduced themselves to the alumni and vice versa before the tip-off. The game was a great contest that saw the younger alumni build a big lead only to see the veteran alumni storm back to win the game on Ryan Ballard's '02 banked three-point shot at the buzzer 93-92. It was a fitting end to the first alumni game and planning is already underway for the second game next year! Return to the Campus Connection page.
