Welcome to MacMurray College Office of Disability Support Services.
MacMurray College is committed to providing equal educational opportunity for individuals with disabilities in accordance with the various policy statements of the college and in compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. In support of its commitment to provide equal educational opportunity, MacMurray College provides a variety of services and accommodations to students with documented disabilities.
Students coming from secondary education services will see quite a few differences between High School and College. College students are expected to assume much more responsibility for their services. Those who need accommodations should identify themselves to the Office of Disability Support Services (DSS) as soon as they are accepted into the College as some accommodations require additional time to secure. They will be asked to complete a Request for Services Form 
and provide appropriate documentation that verifies their specific qualifying disabilities and identifies the need for reasonable accommodations. After registering with the Office of Disability Support Services, the Consultation Committee for Disability Support Services will review the documents, history of services and specific need for accommodations. Students approved for services will receive an Accommodations Notification form and will be asked to set up meetings with their faculty during the first week of classes to discuss their particular needs.
The guidance and support provided them by MacMurray College faculty, staff and administration in a small, private school setting helps to assure students with disabilities have access not only to their core educational experiences but also to a college community that knows and cares for them.
