The Mission of the Archives is to collect and preserve the primary sources representing the historical memory of MacMurray College and make it available for research.
The Archives holds the records and personal papers of past presidents; minutes of faculty and curriculum committee minutes; minutes of student organizations; a substantial newspaper clipping file; vertical files on administration and faculty; programs from commencements, concerts, exhibits; photographs; and much more.
Special Collections holds the non-cicrulating collection of yearbooks, annual catalogs dating back to 1849, monographs written by and about faculty and presidents; as well as college artificats donated by alums.
Access to the Archives is the Peter Cartwright Room located on the 2nd floor of the Pfeiffer Library. If you cannot make a personal visit, contact the archivist, Lauretta Scheller, for assistance. There is a $20 per hour research fee for researchers outside the MacMurray campus community.
