Assistant Director for Student Affairs MacMurray College was founded in 1846 and is a four-year career-oriented liberal arts college located in Jacksonville, Illinois. The College has a culturally diverse student body of 647, and a faculty/student ratio of 1:12. The College offers 35 academic programs with top majors in Education, Nursing, Interpreter Training (American Sign Language), Criminal Justice and Business. MacMurray College is seeking an energetic, organized and collaborative Assistant Director for Student Affairs to serve as a key member of the College’s administrative staff. The individual selected will have the opportunity to teach in the country’s first undergraduate Student Personnel Services major. This individual must have experience in one or more of the following areas: first year experience, student activities, retention, orientation, leadership training and development, teaching, and discipline. The successful candidate must have earned at least a master’s degree in College Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration or a related field and have demonstrated evidence of at least three years experience in a college setting. The successful candidate will have the following characteristics: flexibility, team player, creativity, vision, ethical decision making, multi-tasking ability and commitment to the development of the whole person. The candidate must also have a successful interview that includes a public presentation focusing on the candidate’s student affairs and student development philosophies.
