MacMurray alumnae ‘set’ to take the court
Alumnae, current players will play annual volleyball game.
MacMurray College is hosting its annual, tournament-style Alumnae Volleyball Game on Friday, Aug. 23 in the Bill Wall Gymnasium, located in the Jenkins Education Complex on MacMurray College’s campus.
Head Volleyball Coach Danielle Doerfler will organize the tournament, along with Director of Alumni Services Christina Wells. “It’s important to get MacMurray’s alumnae back on campus to see the transitions we’ve made with our current team, and it’s important for our girls to see where we came from,” Doerfler said. “It’s fun to get everyone together for a game.”
The game has been a tradition at MacMurray College for years and continues to grow in popularity. “It’s great for the College,” said Wells. “It’s a good opportunity for alumnae to come back and revisit MacMurray, and it gives the students a chance to see how MacMurray College has contributed to the lives of these successful alumnae.”
The alumnae games begin at 6 p.m., and are free and open to the public. Registration for alumnae can be found online at https://www.mac.edu/alumni/events/alumnae_volleyball.asp. A reception for MacMurray College alumnae will be held following the game.
