MacMurray hires new assistant coach

Angela Augspols joins MacMurray College’s softball team.

MacMurray College welcomed Angie Augspols to its staff as an assistant softball coach. The 2012 graduate of University of Illinois at Springfield earned her bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in secondary education.

For MacMurray she will have general coaching duties, but aims to focus on helping the team strengthen its pitching skills. “I’m excited to be here,” Augspols said. “For me, teaching and coaching go hand in hand, and I’m excited to teach the girls how to refine their talent.”

Before coming to MacMurray, Augspols was a pitching instructor at The Hitting Center in Springfield, IL, and closely involved in the softball program at UIS.
