Assistant coach makes playoffs
Blake Ordell, Professional Arena Soccer League athlete, competes in tournament.

JACKSONVILLE, IL – Blake Ordell, assistant men and women’s soccer coach, competed in the Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL) playoffs this past weekend.
Ordell helped his PASL team, Illinois Piasa, advance to the playoffs this year with nine goals and eight assists.
Illinois Piasa played Detroit on Saturday, March. 3, 2012, where he spent three years playing soccer, for a chance to move on to the next round in Del Mar, CA. However, Illinois Piasa lost in overtime to end its season.
With an impressive background in professional soccer teams, Ordell has been a member of the U.S. National Arena Team, the Detroit Waza Flo-Pro, Cincinnati Kings, and in Canada, the Toronto Italia and the Windsor Border Stars. He has also played soccer at Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA, the University of Central Lancashire in Preston, England, Fraser High School, near Detroit, and Fraser Express United.
“We have been working hard all season and have come up short in some games, but we have made it to playoffs, and now anything can happen,” said Ordell. “The first step is to beat Detroit. If we win that game, we go on to play San Diego in California.”
