Art professor's work honored

Khara Koffel receives award for photo in St. Louis gallery.

JACKSONVILLE, IL –Khara Koffel, associate professor of art at MacMurray, was named a Thumbs Up Merit Award winner in the Pinholio Contemporary Pinhole Photography Exhibition at the Good Citizen Gallery in St. Louis, MO.

The recognition was for her photograph, “things I wish I could show you, #4” (pictured). “Pinholio,” a celebration of pinhole photography, continues through Dec. 17 at the Good Citizen gallery, 2247 Gravois Ave, St. Louis MO, (314) 348-4587. The gallery hours are noon to 5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, or by appointment.

As previously announced, Koffel had two photographs accepted to “Pinholio.” She exhibits her work regularly in the Midwest and beyond, with recent shows in St. Louis, Chicago, Maryland, Alabama and other venues.
