MacMurray welcomes new PR associate

Area native joins public relations staff.

JACKSONVILLE, IL – MacMurray College welcomed Susan Bergschneider to its staff earlier this month as a public relations associate. The Franklin, IL, native recently graduated from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville with a degree in communication and public relations, and a minor in psychology.

  As a new public relations associate, she will be helping craft MacMurray’s media relations as well as updating the college’s social media outlets. Bergschneider has previously been involved with social marketing for Bradley University in Peoria, IL.

 “I am looking forward to beginning my career here at MacMurray,” said Bergschneider. “This is a great opportunity for me to grow both personally and professionally, and I couldn’t be more excited about working at Mac.”

 Prior to her recent graduation, she helped various non-profit agencies in the St. Louis area with their social media needs, including the Edwardsville YMCA. Her background of social media marketing and her international experience abroad will be a great asset to MacMurray’s public relations office. 

Bergschneider is the daughter of Joe and Barb Bergschneider of Franklin. She takes the place of Ann Coultas, who entered graduate school in the fall.
