MacMurray names 14 students to Mortar Board

MacMurray inducted 14 incoming senior into the Cap and Gown Chapter of Mortar Board Honor Society at a Ceremony on Sunday, April 3. Mortar Board is a national honor society recognizing college seniors who display exemplary scholarship, leadership and service. To be inducted, a student must have a 3.25 GPA and exhibit leadership qualities. Mortar Board students conduct service projects on campus and in the community. The following students were inducted.
Beth Boyer - a interpreting and deaf education major from Tuscola.
Ashleigh Carriger - a physical education major from Bluffs.
Marshella Chambers - a social work and Spanish major from Jacksonville.
Stacey Davis - a nursing major from Springfield.
Courtney Gansz - a social work major from Hillview.
Julie Gerken -an interpreting major from Naperville.
Amy Goodman - an interpreting major from Peru.
Christine Kline - an organizational leadership major from Jacksonville.
Teresa Marcotte - an interpreting major from Kankakee.
Virginia Paul - a special education major from Springfield.
Joshua Riley - a business administration major from Hamilton.
Mary Kate Smith - an elementary education major from Petersburg.
Karl Tooren - a secondary physical education major from Hoffman Estates.
William Gavin Washington - an organizational leadership major from Concord.
