Basketball players earn conference honors

Athletes are recognized for excellence.

The Saint Louis Intercollegiate Athletics Conference honored Men’s and Women’s Basketball Players.

Kianna Hogan was named to the Winter All-Academic Team. She is a sophomore majoring in psychology. To be named to the All-Academic Team, a student must have sophomore standing at their institution and a 3.5 grade point average.

Kelsey Anderson was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team. She is a sophomore majoring in physical education.

Dylan Burton, was named SLIAC New-Comer of the Year. He was also named to the All-Conference Honorable Mention Team. Burton, a freshman forward, averaged 14.4 points per game and posted a .559 field goal percentage in the SLIAC.

CJ McClellen was named to the All-Conference First Team. He is a senior majoring in business. McClellan scored over 1,000 points in his career with the Highlanders and broke MacMurray’s all-time assist record. McClellan finished the 2010-11 season leading his team in scoring with 498 total points, averaging 19.2 points per game. He also tallied 165 rebounds and 147 assists for the season.
