MacMurray holds events for Black History Month

Speaker to visit campus.

JACKSONVILLE, IL –Singer, speaker, educator and author Naima Johnston- Bush will visit MacMurray’s campus in celebration of Black History Month.

On Monday, Feb. 21 at 7:30 p.m. in the Gamble Campus Center she will trace the history of racial violence in America in a presentation titled “The African American Holocaust.” This program is free and open to the public. Due to some images that will be shown it is recommended that attendants are at least 12-years-old. This presentation is sponsored by the Campus Activities Board, the Black Student Union and the Office of Religious Life. Johnston-Bush will remain on campus on Feb. 22. She will visit classes and conduct a leadership workshop for MacMurray’s women.
