Mac artist to have works displayed
Prof. Khara Koffel has two pieces accepted to annual St. Louis show.
Khara Koffel, Associate Professor of Art at MacMurray College, has had two works accepted for Art St. Louis XXVI, The Exhibition, the Art Saint Louis organization’s 26th annual, juried show.
The works she had accepted are: "a miniature collection of everything" and "the inescapable inevitable."
This year, 112 artists submitted nearly 500 works; 31 artists and 60 works were chosen. The show is open to all styles and themes, and was juried by Stacy Switzer, Artistic Director of Grand Arts in Kansas City, Mo.
Art Saint Louis XXVI runs Nov. 8 to Dec. 30 with a free juror’s Gallery Talk 6-7 p.m. and an opening reception 7-9 p.m. on Saturday Nov. 6. The Art Saint Louis gallery is at 555 Washington Ave., Suite #150 in St. Louis, Mo.
Koffel has been actively displaying her work, with numerous pieces accepted for shows in the past year in Chicago, Indianapolis, Alabama and California.
