Softball places 6 on Academic All-Conference
MacMurray among league leaders in scholar-athletes.
The MacMurray College softball team had six members selected for the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference’s Academic All-Conference team, the second-most members in the nine-team conference. They are:
Beth Boyer is a sophomore Deaf and Hard of Hearing Education major from Tuscola, Ill., and a graduate of Arcola High School. She is the daughter of Grant and Lisa Boyer in Tuscola. Boyer was also named to the Academic All-Conference team for basketball earlier this year and was named a All-America Scholar-Athlete last year by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.
Sara Coultas is a junior physical education major and was a graduate of North Greene High School. She was named to the Academic All-Conference team in basketball earlier this year. She is the daughter of Joe and Linda Coultas of White Hall.
Kristin Flahive is from Mendota, Ill. and is a graduate of Mendota High School. She is the daughter of Roger and Mary Lou Flahive of Mendota, Ill. She graduated summa cum laude earlier this month in accounting and business administration. She also was named to the fall Academic All-Conference team in volleyball.
Anissa Lane is a junior social work major who hails from Atkinson, Ill., and graduated from Annawan High School. She is the daughter of Kurt and Linda Lane of Atkinson.
Lee Miller, of Eureka, Ill., graduated from Eureka High School. She is the daughter of Randy and Jean Miller of Eureka. She graduated earlier this month magna cum laude with honors in nursing.
Katylain Northcutt is a sophomore nursing major and graduate of North Greene High School. She is the daughter of Terry and Martha Northcutt of White Hall.
