New coordinator for Residence Life
MacMurray hires experienced residential director

Dan Roberts begins this week as Coordinator for Residence Life, Student Conduct and Student Organizations. Robert’s will be responsible for overseeing the residence halls and staff, student conduct, intramurals and student groups.
“Coming to MacMurray was an obvious choice,” said Roberts. “I realized immediately after meeting the people here and seeing the potential of the residence halls that this was the right fit for me. In my short time here I’ve been welcomed by all and immediately accepted into the community, which says so much about the people of this institution. I look forward to making great things happen in and out of our residence halls for years to come.”
Roberts comes to MacMurray from Green Mountain College in Vermont where he served as Assistant Director of Residence Life. He managed residential staff, handled housing- for seven residence halls, oversaw living-learning communities, and coordinated all facilities work within the residence halls.
“We are very excited to have Dan on our staff,” said Sally Cayan, Vice President for Student Affairs. “His commitment to students as well as his vast experience makes him a true asset to our campus community.”
Robert’s also served as Residential Life Manager at Cultural Care Au Pair Training School in Oakdale, New York and worked in residence life at the State University of New York at Potsdam.
Roberts has teaching experience from Adirondack Community College where he taught a professional development course.
Roberts has a B.A. in Politics and History and is currently completing an MS Ed in Organizational Leadership and Management, both from the State University of New York at Potsdam.
