Classes resume for the fall semester
Events are planned on campus to welcome students.
Classes resume for the 2010-11 school year Wednesday, August 25 at MacMurray College. Members of the media are welcome to attend and photograph the following events, which lead up to the beginning of the fall semester.
Saturday, August 21
Noon- 3 p.m. New student move-in
Check-in at Gamble Campus Center
2-4 p.m. Alumni soccer game
Soccer Field
Sunday, August 22
Noon -3 p.m. Returning student move- in
Jane and Rutledge Halls
1-2:30 p.m. All Campus Scavenger Hunt
The Center for Learning Excellence and Library are hosting a
scavenger hunt to help new students learn their way around campus.

MacMurray students will compete in a variety of events to win a trip to the cash cyclone.

As part of this MacMurray tradition, faculty and staff will serve breakfast to MacMurray students.
Tuesday, August 24
Registration 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Gamble Campus Center
All MacMurray students will complete final registration for the fall.
Wednesday, August 25
Convocation 8:30 - 9:15 a.m.
Annie Merner Chapel
All students, faculty and staff will join to welcome new students
to campus. MacMurray’s student organizations will conduct a processional
with banners into the chapel. Kathyrn Herring, College Chaplain, will
deliver the invocation; Colleen Hester, College President, will welcome
students; David Fitz, Vice President for Academic Affairs, will
recognize new scholarship recipients; Sally Cayan, Vice President for
Student Affairs, will install MacMurray Student Association Officers;
and Taylor Sweeting, MacMurray Student Association President, will
deliver remarks.
