Tales of the Lost Formicans to open MacMurray theatre season

    Jacksonville – The 2005 – 2006 MacMurray theatre season opens with the contemporary production of “Tales of the Lost Formicans”. The play’s first performance will be Thursday, November 3, in the Marian Chase Schaeffer Theatre.

     Curtain time is 7:30 p.m. for all performances which will continue on November 4, 5, 10, 11 and 12. The Nov. 10th performance will be interpreted for the deaf and hard of hearing.

     Directed by j nick dickert, the play by Constance Congdon is described as a postmodern comedy told by alien anthropologists and an American family in dysfunction.

     There is limited seating and reservations are urged by calling 217.479.7208. Admission is $5.00 but will be free to MacMurray and Illinois College students with ID.

     The play is produced through special arrangement with Broadway Play Publishing.
