MacMurray announces parade marshals
Jacksonville – This year’s
homecoming parade at MacMurray College is sure to be a meaningful one
for the parade marshals. His wife, Sharon, came to MacMurray three years later and joined Holy Fools. Between the two of them, they span the first seven years of the group's 30-year history. They were also the first of several couples to marry from Holy Fools. They continued to clown after leaving Mac and have returned to campus on three occasions to lead clown ministry workshops for the new members of the group to remind them about the theology, purpose and history of Christian clowning on campus. David graduated in 1979 with three special education degrees from Mac Murray and is currently teaching a special education Life Skills class at Freeport High School. Sharon graduated in 1982 with her degree in elementary education and has taught at Rockford Christian Elementary School for 15 years. They have two high school-age children who are also active in their family clown ministry. Located in Jacksonville, Ill., MacMurray College is a private, four-year, liberal arts, coeducational college, founded in 1846, and affiliated with the United Methodist Church. Its friendly, informal environment stresses academic excellence, personal attention, career experience, and well-rounded development of each individual. |
