Family Weekend to highlight October
Jacksonville – The fall season will usher in Family Weekend 2005 at MacMurray College, Oct. 7 - 9.
Lunch will be available for purchase from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Gamble Campus Center and the bookstore will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A family picnic will be held outside the McClelland Dining Hall from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. sponsored by the College’s Office of Student Life. This event is also free for students and their families to attend with reservations recommended by calling 217-479-7123. A “family game show” will wrap up the day at 7:00 p.m. in the Gamble Campus Center sponsored by the Campus Activities Board. On Sunday, Oct. 9, breakfast will be available for purchase from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. with lunch available for purchase from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in McClelland Dining Hall. The “Holy Fools” worship service is scheduled at 10:00 a.m. in Annie Merner Chapel. The “holy fools” is a non-denominational campus clown ministry troupe that presents creative worship services at churches throughout Illinois and visits nursing homes and hospitals. Download
