Jacksonville – The
MacMurray College Highlander football team is getting some national
recognition this summer with a mention in Street & Smith’s 2005
College Football Preview preseason magazine.
Street & Smith’s is one of the nation’s
most popular magazines for football at all levels…from high school,
D1A, D1AA, D2, and D3. Four of its 196 pages are devoted to D3
football, including a preseason top 25.
MacMurray College is among the teams
mentioned in the “Best of the Rest” section. Street & Smith’s magazine
states, “Quarterback Mike Schmidtke (23 TD Passes) and tailback
Peter Ereg (1,485 rushing yards) will lead MacMurray’s bid to win
the Illini-Badger Conference title.”
