New Admissions personnel at MacMurray

Jacksonville – The Office of Admissions at MacMurray College has added some new faces to its staff for the coming academic year: Mr. Jeremy Reed and Ms. Larissa Allison.
Mr. Reed is the new Director of Admissions at MacMurray College. A native of Maynard, Iowa, he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1998 from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. He majored in international studies and political science.
Before coming to MacMurray, Mr. Reed was Director of Career Services at Iowa Wesleyan College in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. During his time at the College was chair of the enrollment management committee, first year seminar instructor/coordinator and academic advisor to undecided students.
He earned his Master’s of Education degree in higher education administration from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. Prior to graduate school, he held positions as Head Resident in the Office of Student Life and Assistant Director of Admission at Knox College.
Also new to the Admissions staff is Ms. Larissa Allison who will be an admissions counselor concentrating on recruitment in the Sangamon County area as well as a marketing specialist.
Before coming to MacMurray College, Ms. Allison was working as a freelance public relations specialist in Galesburg, IL, where she devised and implemented a small business public relations strategy. In addition to freelance work, she interned in creative services with 91.5/WCIC, a non-profit, non-commercial, contemporary Christian radio station in Peoria.
Ms. Allison graduated from Bradley University with a Bachelor’s of Science in public relations and a double minor in marketing and speech. While a student, she was a member of residential living and an advisor to hall council.
