New Theatre Instructor at MacMurray

Jacksonville – MacMurray College is pleased to announce Ms. Kerry Hahn has accepted a position as the new adjunct theatre instructor. She will begin her duties in the fall of 2006. Ms. Hahn brings with her a great deal of experience in the entertainment industry including nine years living and working in New York City.
Originally from Springfield, she was most recently a site interpreter
for the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency, responsible for promoting and maintaining the history pertaining to the Old State Capitol and other Lincoln historic sites.
Since returning to the area in 2003, she has been an instructor and lecturer at Springfield College in Illinois — Benedictine University where she taught theatre arts among other subjects. Ms. Hahn is also a certified substitute teacher for the Springfield School District.
Ms. Hahn graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Additionally, she studied theatre, British history and English at the University of London.
She has worked professionally in stage, film, video and television while living in New York City and enjoyed an Arts Management internship with the Joffrey Ballet. Her background also includes various management-level positions with businesses in Missouri and Kansas.
Ms. Hahn is a graduate of Springfield High School.
