MacMurray to host softball clinic

    Jacksonville – The MacMurray College athletic department has announced that a softball clinic will be held on Saturday, April 8, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

     Any female between the ages of 5-18 is invited to attend the clinic and then stay and watch a MacMurray softball game at 1:00 p.m. vs. Eureka College.

     The clinic will e hosted and instructed by head softball coach Shelley Whitaker, assistant coach Marissa DeStasio, and current members of the MacMurray College softball team. The focus of this clinic will be the fundamentals of fast pitch softball including hitting, pitching, throwing, catching, fielding and base running.

     The cost is $25 per participant and includes lunch and a t-shirt. Participants will be grouped according to age and playing level. Registration is required by Wednesday, April 5, with a late registration fee of $30 after that date.

      Parents/guardians are asked to drop the participant off at 8:45 a.m. and return for pick up at Palmer Field at 12:45 p.m.
