New controller hired at MacMurray

     Jacksonville – MacMurray College President Lawrence D. Bryan recently announced the appointment of a new institutional Controller in the College’s business office.

     Mary Pat Hayes of Pleasant Plains accepted the position of Controller effective in mid-June.

     Ms. Hayes holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accountancy from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and is fully qualified as a Certified Public Accountant. After a year in the mid-80s as an internal auditor for the Illinois Department of Revenue, she served for four years as Controller for Elliott State Bank in Jacksonville and for six years as Assistant Comptroller for Bank One in Springfield.

     Since leaving Bank One, Ms. Hayes has provided both computerized accounting services and accounting expertise to a broad range of clients, specializing in municipalities and not-for-profit organizations.


     Located in Jacksonville, Ill., MacMurray College is a private, four-year, liberal arts, coeducational college, founded in 1846, and affiliated with the United Methodist Church.
