New Business Faculty at MacMurray

    Jacksonville – MacMurray College announced the appointment of Ms. Emily A. Wright to its business department.

     Ms. Wright has accepted the position of assistant professor of business at the College beginning with the 2006 fall semester.

     Ms. Wright is an accounting specialist who earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, in Business-Economics (accounting) at Illinois College in 2001. While a student there she was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa National Honor Fraternity and the Delta Mu Delta Business Honor Society. She was granted a Master of Business Administration degree by Webster University in 2002.

     During the 2005 fall semester, Ms. Wright served as visiting assistant professor of accounting at Illinois College, teaching principles of accounting and auditing courses.

     From May 2001 until December 2003, Ms. Wright held the position of audit associate at RBG & Company, LLP in St. Louis, Missouri. From January 2004 to the present she has served as senior audit associate with McGladrey & Pullen, LLP in Springfield.

     She resides in Jacksonville and has been actively involved as treasurer of the Vachel Lindsay Association, assistant treasurer of the Old Capitol Art Fair, a member of Illinois Women in Leadership and the Illinois CPA Society.


     Located in Jacksonville, Ill., MacMurray College is a private, four-year, liberal arts, coeducational college, founded in 1846, and affiliated with the United Methodist Church.
